Beautiful Smoky Quartz Cluster Floater from Gletschhorn, Tiefenbach, Realp, Urseren, Uri, Switzerland!
This cluster is also a complete floater specimen that has only one contact in the back, on the border of some etching from another crystal and where the two main crystals meet. Some contacts on the bottom edges. The bottom has matrix along with lustrous crystal faces and little needle-like inclusions of Epidote in a couple of areas. Wonderful warm color, and yellowish where the two main crystals meet, but mainly on the larger crystal’s side. Perfect points that are also highly lustrous with excellent clarity but not without some natural inclusions and with etching from other crystals. Tip is slightly rough but perfect. Internal fractures here and there gives it some rainbows. Nice clean and gemmy with waxy etching in the back and on some of the smaller crystals.
