Power over Ethernet is built in, and the switch can deliver 30 W, 60 W, or 90 W per port depending on the device that is attached. This flexibility lets you run everything from VoIP phones and wireless access points to pan-tilt cameras and LED lighting directly from the switch, removing the need for separate power cabling and simplifying installation.

When the network grows, up to eight 5420F units can be stacked into a single logical system. Each member contributes 40 Gb of stacking bandwidth, giving you a resilient, high-capacity backplane that is easy to manage and scale. A non-blocking forwarding architecture ensures every port delivers wire-speed performance even when traffic peaks.
