RARE! 1909 - P VDB First Year Wheatback Cent Penny COLLECTORS COIN- HIGH GRADE

Beautiful and historic 1909-P V.D.B. Lincoln Wheatback Cent, the very first year of issue for the iconic Lincoln cent series! Designed by Victor David Brenner, whose initials V.D.B. appear on the reverse at the bottom between the wheat stalks.

This Philadelphia-minted example (no mint mark) shows excellent original detail and strong legends for its age. Carefully preserved in a protective 2x2 holder, with an estimated grade in the AU-55 to MS-60 range based on eye appeal and remaining luster. Surfaces show a natural reddish-brown (RB/Bn) patina consistent with over a century of age.
