The Shure MXWANI8 is an eight channel audio network interface designed to move Microflex Wireless microphone signals cleanly into Dante networks while also offering direct analog outputs for legacy equipment. It sits at the heart of a conference or classroom system, accepting wireless audio and sending it wherever it is needed, whether that is a Dante enabled digital mixer, a video conferencing codec, or an analog loudspeaker processor.
Each of the eight outputs is balanced and line level, so you can drive power amplifiers, recorders, and outboard processors without added noise. On the digital side, an integrated four port gigabit Ethernet switch simplifies wiring by allowing microphones, computers, and other Dante devices to share one location. Port 1 supplies Power over Ethernet, which lets you run an MXWAPT access point transceiver without a separate power supply.
Routing and setup are straightforward. Use the front panel for quick changes or open the Microflex Wireless Control application on a Mac or PC for detailed channel naming, gain adjustment, and network management. The interface performs 24 bit, 48 kHz conversion with a typical dynamic range of 113 dB, so speech, music, and program material remain clear and natural.
Because meetings move at the speed of conversation, the MXWANI8 keeps latency extremely low. Analog to Dante delay is typically 0.21 milliseconds, and a front panel headphone jack lets technicians verify signals in real time before they reach the far end. These features make the unit a strong fit for boardrooms, lecture halls, courtrooms, and any collaboration space that relies on dependable, networked audio.
